| a special thanks to Shelbo Schnoodles for providing the questions | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Question 1) How long have you been breeding?: I have been in the planning stages for over almost 2 years. I have now had several litters. I have used the advice of Shelly at Shelbo Schnoodles to guide me in the direction of perfection. She recommended that I start with adult dogs but I have choosen to start with puppies for the reason being I have three children and I was concerened with the socialization issues. I will be sure that the dogs meet the standards that any adult I would have purchased would have. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Question 2) Do you have a written list of references?: I have references available upon request. Please do not ask for references just to talk to someone with a Schnoodle. It is unfair to my references. Please use this opprotunity to learn about me as a breeder and my puppies. I would also be happy to direct you to my veteranian on the care that I provide for my dogs. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Question 3) Do you have a written guarantee? And if so for how long?: I will be offering a 14 day guarantee against any viral infections. I will also guarantee my puppies against any congenital or heredity ailments for 2 years. With a full refund with return of the puppy or half of the "sold for price" with documentation from 2 licenced vets. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Question 4) Do you have both parents to the puppies? And if yes will I be able to see them?: I own all the parents. The girls and my current stud do live in my home. It is a bit of extra work to have him here with the girls in heat..etc. It is working for now but I hope to make a special room for him in my heated garage over the summer. This will allow him to not be so stressed during heat cycles. Both parents will be available for viewing and spoiling on adoption day. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Question 5) Are there any health issues with the adult dogs?: I will NOT breed any dogs that have ANY health issues. These dogs are my pets. Not baby factories or money making machines. I will not jepordize their health or the health of any potential puppies. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Question 6) Where were the puppies raised?: The puppies will be raised in my home with the same love and care that is provided for their parents. They will be socialized with children and will be exposed to as many things as possible. I will attempt to start housebreaking before they leave my home. I will use the guidiance of Shelbo Schnoodles in that department, she seems to have very good luck. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Question 7) Where are the adults kept? And are they socialized?: Like I have explained before, my dogs are part of the family. They live in our home and are a part of our everyday life. They go on car rides and on vacation's with us. We live on 180 acres of rural land and they will have the opprotunity to experience many things. Hiking, camping and boating to name a few. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Question 8) What do you recommend for spaying and neutering?: You will be asked to sign a spay/neuter contract. These puppies are not being bred as breeding material. They are a hybrid and a real knowledge of genetics is needed to attempt breeding a schnoodle to a schnoodle. It is in you and your puppies best intrest to spay and neuter. There are many health benifits that your vet can explain to you related to spaying and neutering. I will ask that the procedure be completed by the time that the puppy is 6 months old. If this procedure is not followed you will void your guarantee. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Question 9) Can you show me pictures of your puppies?: There are pictures of my puppies posted on my website. If you would like to see more please email me and I can send more. I will be adding a picture page to my site so you can see my pups at different stages of development. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Question 10) What range in size are your puppies as adults? Size and Weight? : I will be breeding my females to a male that is a bit smaller then them. I have all the information on the size of my females and their parents. There will be no guarantee on size at first, but with my plan I hope that they will not be any bigger then their mothers. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Question 11) Do you dock the tails and remove the dews? Why or Why not?: I will have the tails and dews done when the vet recommends which I believe is 3 days old. I will have it done for sanitary reasons and cosmetic ones as well. In both of the parent breeds they are removed so it will be done to the puppies. ** I will not have the ears clipped. If this is something that you desire you will be responsible for it after you recieve your puppy. I feel that clipping is not a necessary evil. It gives the breed of the Schnoodle its own look to leave them natural.** This is only my opinion and is not reflective of others. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Question 12) How many breed or mixes do you breed? The only dogs that I breed are listed on my sites. I am commited to the breed of Schnoodles and will strive to make them the best breed possible. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Question 13) Is your Schnoodle mix half schnauzer and half poodle? All of my dogs are purebreds. The girls are Miniature Schnauzers and the stud will either be a Miniature or Toy Poodle. | ||||||||||||||||||||
